Maya C Little

LSM Technician, Sample Environment & Labs

Maya Little is a Labs & Soft Matter Technician and the Lab Space Manager (LSM) of HFIR chemistry user lab. As a LSM technician, she provides internal and external support for users with experiment support at the Spallation Neutron Source and High Flux Isotope Reactor, with the Group's mission is to facilitate pioneering science by providing reliable support services, efficient sample management, convenient laboratory spaces, and cutting-edge soft matter sample environments with expansion.

As the LSM, Maya supports both internal and external users with sample preparation and management services including user laboratory training, laboratory support, sample handling support, sample disposal, chemical management, equipment maintenance, returning user samples, and any user needs before and after experiments.

Maya joined ORNL in 2022. She received her B.S. in Biology from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga.

Along with her current positions at ORNL, Maya has joined the African American Resource Council (AARC) on campus as well as Youth Outreach in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (Yo-STEM), established by Candice Halbert, SA here at SNS.
