Bio
Zhiming Gao is a senior research and development staff member in the Buildings and Transportation Science Division. His research primarily focuses on developing energy-efficient HVAC equipment, including furnaces, heat pumps, water heaters, desiccants, and membrane applications. Dr. Gao’s R&D work in exploring novel catalyst materials and designing compact AGR catalyst components has led to the development of clean and efficient furnaces, which received an esteemed 2022 R&D 100 Award.
