WiNS L&L with Dr. Singh
Please join WiNS for our June Lunch & Learn with Dr. Vandana Singh.
Singh is a tenured professor from the School of Information Sciences (SIS) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her research investigates the experiences of marginalized groups within technical fields like software engineering and information technology. Dr. Singh and her collaborator, Professor Jeff Carver, Univ. of Alabama, recently won the competitive Google Award for Inclusion Research (2021). With a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) perspective in mind, they plan to develop a class at UTK to create thoughtful tech citizens for the future by educating upcoming professionals on DEI topics. This L&L will be virtual via Teams on June 9, 2022 from 12pm-1pm.
